Coronavirus/COVID-19 Policies

We at FoodCycle take the safety of our guests and volunteers extremely seriously and will continually work with our Projects to ensure we have relevant COVID-19 safety measures and policies in place:

As of March 2022, and in line with current government guidelines, FoodCycle volunteers and guests are no longer required to wear face coverings or adhere to social distancing rules when attending a Project.  We do kindly ask that you continue to:

  • Respect those who may want to continue to wear a face mask or covering

  • Respect people’s personal space

  • Continue good personal hygiene by washing hands frequently and using hand sanitizer

  • Do not attend a Project if you think you may have COVID-19, have tested positive or are showing symptoms (no matter how mild)

You can find the most up to date government guidance here.

If you have any of these 3 coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms, even if mild, get a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test as soon as possible:

  • a high temperature

  • a new, continuous cough

  • you’ve lost your sense of smell or taste or they’ve changed

How to book a free PCR test if you have symptoms

We would like to re-iterate that whilst isolation rules are no longer in place, if you have tested positive or are showing symptoms of COVID-19, it is advised that you still avoid contact with other people so please DO NOT volunteer, and remove yourself from your session on the portal.
