Nutrition Training

FoodCycle's Nutrition training covers the basics of nutrition and healthy eating, and is designed to equip you with invaluable knowledge for your next volunteering session (cooking, hosting, surplus food collection, or check-in and chat!).

During the training you will learn more about: 

  • The 5 main food groups
  • Eating a balanced diet and the Eatwell guide
  • 5 a day and portion sizes
  • Hydration
  • Food and mood
  • Answering guest questions around nutrition
This training is a 2 hour online (remote) session delivered by FoodCycle staff.

Note: due to the interactive nature of this training session, you will need a laptop or tablet in order to attend and fully participate in the required activities. If you do not have access to a suitable device, or if you are likely to need technical support to attend, please get in touch with your Regional staff team before signing up so we can work with you to enable your learning.
