FoodCycle Peckham Saturdays

FoodCycle London Peckham Saturdays | https://www.foodcycle.org.uk/location/london-peckham/

FoodCycle Peckham (Saturdays) runs every Saturday evening at the All Saints Church, serving free meals to people of Peckham.

You don’t need to have any previous cooking or serving experience, although if you do, that's just as welcome!

FoodCycle volunteers are welcoming and committed people who want to create delicious meals and lasting relationships within their community.

You’ll be supported by a FoodCycle Project Leader, who will help make sure the session goes smoothly and is there for any questions you might have, so you don’t have to be a chef to get involved!

As a Food Pick-up and Cooking Volunteer, you’ll be playing a vital part in making sure guests who are in need receive a hot meal. There are a few shops we collect from in the local area and more details will be sent to you a few days before the session. You will then join the cooking team who will help decide on what to cook and prepare a vegetarian meal for a number of guests.

As a Cooking Volunteer, you’ll be playing a vital part in making sure guests who are in need receive a hot meal. You’ll be receiving food surplus and along with a small team and your Project Leader(s), deciding on what to cook and preparing a vegetarian meal for a number of guests.

As a Hosting Volunteer, you’ll be playing a vital part in making sure guests who are in need receive a hot meal. Along with your Hosting Project Leader, you will be setting up the hall space for a community meal, then welcoming guests and serving them as well as sharing with them a three-course meal prepared by the cooking team. You will then participate in clearing and cleaning the space along with all other volunteers.
