FoodCycle Manchester - Food Pickup Team
On Wednesday morning we meet at 7.45am, outside the big grey gate (entrance to the loading bay) of Morrison's supermarket in Chorlton. Please bring panniers, a large rucksack and/or bike trailer with a bike (bikes are NOT provided) to carry the food in.
We then cycle along the beautiful Fallowfield loop to Sainsbury's in Fallowfield. Then one of us goes further along the loop to Trove, an amazing bakery who donate us some of the best soughdough in town! We reconvene at the Roby church (307 Dickenson road) via mostly very quiet lanes, where we drop off the food by about 9am and cycle on to meet the rest of our day with a smile.
The food is then cooked by our team of volunteers into an unbelievably tasty 3 course meal in the evening.
