FoodCycle Cambridge - Food Parcel Delivery Driver COVID19
FoodCycle volunteers are welcoming and committed people who want to help support communities during the coronavirus pandemic. As a Delivery Driver Volunteer, you’ll be playing a vital part in making sure food parcels are delivered to guests who are in need. You’ll pick up bagged food parcels from our venue and deliver directly to our guests’ homes through a contactless delivery process, ensuring a prompt, safe, reliable and friendly delivery each week.
Please note: you will need access to a vehicle and a smart phone for this role. You will also need to be comfortable using tech whilst driving, as this role utilises a couple of different apps for delivery route optimisation. You may find it easier to carry out this role with help from a member of your household (who is also a FoodCycle volunteer). Please see the 'Companion Delivery Driver' role for further information.
Please only sign up to this role if you are sure you can attend. The delivery routes are assigned several days before the delivery day, so if volunteers drop out at short notice we may not be able to deliver all the food parcels.
